Christian Counseling Services
My hope is that every session provides a safe and welcoming environment. The primary motivator in my partnership with you on your personal journey is the sanctity of your own heart being treated with kindness, honor, and respect. In the safety of my office, we will work together in developing achievable goals for your life. During our time together, we will explore heart issues so that you can leave satisfied with the investment of time, energy and finances. From time to time, goals may change as I draw upon my professional Christian counseling training and experience to guide you to live from your true heart, your Kingdom heart.
Traditional Therapy
My professional training and experience with healing modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), and Structural, Strategic, Bowenian, Solution-Focused and Narrative therapy enrich my abilities to uniquely help you.
My Marriage and Family training helps me to look at matters of the heart. Not only do I look at the intricacies of your own life but how your relationships mold, shape and effect you and along with how these relationships affect one another.
Through my years of professional training, I am able to bring different perspectives to the table as we work together in our traditional therapy sessions.
Heart Healing Sessions
For example, let us consider you come into contact with a person that previously betrayed you. Due to the past betrayal your feelings may be unforgiving, passive or anger. Your reaction will either be to have a rational conversation with this person, be compliant and try to be overly nice while harboring bitterness or you may begin visualizing ways to retaliate in order to hurt this person in the way that you were hurt. These reactions may get stronger as you attempt to dull the pain that this person caused. Self-protective measures that you have put in place may have become destructive to you. As your heart learns new ways to partner with Jesus, the focal point of our sessions may include working through these negative self-protection habits so that you embrace a healthy new role for your life.
Jeremiah 32:29 says, “I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them.” As the heart becomes whole, and we begin to enjoy living from our true heart or the heart that God gave us, we live from our Kingdom Self. Our True Self is focused on two things: the Father and releasing the Kingdom of God into the world around us.
Leaders Need Restoring Counsel
Why focus on healing the heart?
- Your heart is precious beyond measure. It was created by God.
- It was known and provided for before the foundation of the world.
- It contains the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
- Your heart is the connection between the Kingdom of God and the world.
- Your heart is your world. When your heart is broken, your world is broken.
- Your heart is the authority within you (see right column).
The first symbol in this Hebrew word is a shepherd staff and represents authority, as the shepherd has authority over his flock. The second letter is the picture of the floor plan of the nomadic tent and represents the idea of being inside, as the family resides within the tent. When combined they mean “the authority within”

What does a Heart-healing session look like?
The goal of my Heart-Healing sessions is to build intimacy with Jesus from beginning to end so you are always connected with Victory as you face whatever life has thrown at you. Our hearts can easily get weighed down with burdens of life’s various disappointments, difficulties, and traumas but Jesus knows how to handle it all and loves to grow closer with us while releasing us from these troubles and traumas.

Speaking Engagements
I am available to speak on a wide array of topics that encourage guests to engage in the process of healing. I am excited to speak at weekend retreats, MOPS groups and workshops. I particularly enjoy discussing the healing of the heart in a crisis situation and facilitating a group process that brings people to participate in their personal journey to recovery.
Individual Counseling
I offer a safe space to work at your own pace.
My 50-minute sessions are conducted in a safe and confidential environment. From the moment you enter my waiting room, where you can help yourself to coffee or water, to my counseling room, I want you to know and feel confident that you are in a safe place both emotionally and physically. I work at your pace in your own way focusing on your goals and priorities.
Intensive Sessions
I will work with your schedule to get to the heart of your issues.
Intensive Weekend Counseling–This option is designed to provide you with a special opportunity to go deep and get to the root of your hurt and problems. Sometimes our “issues” are more complex and take a greater level of care to sort through together. I work with your schedule to set up a series of two-hour sessions over the course of a weekend. For example, we have one session on Thursday, two on Friday and one or two on Saturday depending on our progress.
Multi-day Intensive Counseling– This option is similar to the Intensive Weekend Counseling except in a different format. For up to three, four or five days, we meet for two-hour sessions to get to the heart of your problem.
